Morray Signs With Interscope
Morray, a rapper from North Carolina, was just a matter of time before landing a record contract with a major label. After all, his breakthrough single "Quicksand" gained him prominent co-signs from heavy hitters such as J. Cole, Jay-Z, and Rick Ross. Morray has gradually expanded his repertoire since then, exhibiting versatility on songs like "Dreamland" and "Low Key," attracting attention to the inevitable debut album he's working on.
The rapper has reportedly signed a new contract with Interscope Records, in collaboration with Pick Six Records. In a Billboard survey, Interscope Geffen A&M CEO John Janick praises Morray, saying, "Morray is an undeniable talent with an infectious intensity." “We are ecstatic to be working with Moe and his awesome team at Pick Six in the future.”
Morray says, "It's just so dope to be on a winning team with Pick Six, and to add a powerhouse like Interscope to the mix is just an awesome blessing." Morray took to Instagram shortly after the news broke, sharing the cover art for what may very well be his forthcoming debut album, Street Sermons. "You ready?" he asks, receiving an enthusiastic response from fellow Interscope signee DaBaby; maybe the two North Carolina artists will collaborate now that they're on the same label.
We congratulate Morray on taking this next step in his career, and we eagerly await what he has planned. Are you looking forward to Morray's debut on a major label?
