Diddy Uses a Hologram to Join His Son's 23rd Birthday Party
Diddy did double duty on Thursday night, beaming into his son King Combs' 23rd birthday celebration in Los Angeles while he was in Miami on business.
The "I'll Be Missing You" MC's lifelike presence at the sports jersey-themed party on the other coast was captured in a two-minute video released by TMZ. To get into the party, the hip-hop mogul used PORTL, an interactive hologram machine created by David Nussbaum that Kane Brown used during his iHeartRadio Music Festival appearance in 2020.
Diddy got down on his knees for his grand declaration to King, singing "Happy Birthday" to "my life, my twin, my baby boy, my heart, my soul, my everything" (born Christian Combs). Meanwhile, Diddy's daughters Jessie, D'Lila, and Chance practically stormed the party in Miami.
"I just wanted to express how happy I am that you are my son. Because you're my baby, I feel like the coolest dad in the world "In his voice, the 51-year-old rapper said. "You taught me how to smile every time I see you. And I just want to express my gratitude to you for being my son. And I'm the happiest father on the planet."
Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg's son Cordell Broadus, Swae Lee, Winnie Harlow, and Young Thug were reportedly in attendance at Lil Wayne's birthday bash on Thursday night.
Diddy posted a nice father-son portrait for King's big day on Instagram. He captioned the photo, "Happy happy happy birthday to my King, my son, my twin, my love @kingcombs!!!" "Forever and ever and ever, I love you with all my heart and soul!! Let's f—- up, King!!"
"I love you too!!!" said the "Diana" rapper. "Let's go get it!"
