APA Signs Hip-Hop Artist, 2 Chainz

2 Chainz, who released his sixth studio album in November, has signed with APA for worldwide representation.

Tauheed Epps, the artist, was previously represented by WME. 2 Chainz' debut album, Based on a T.R.U. Story, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum. He has three platinum albums, two gold albums, and six Grammy nominations, including one for best rap performance.

He's collaborated with everyone from Ludacris to Lil Wayne to Kanye West and Lil Uzi Vert, and his music has been used in films including The Fate of the Furious, The First Purge, Creed II, and Project Power, earning him pop culture street cred.

APA (also known as Agency for the Performing Arts) is one of the largest diversified talent agencies in Los Angeles with headquarters in Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, Atlanta, Toronto and London.

Aside from his work as a recording artist, 2 Chainz has a clothing line and is establishing a television presence with his non-scripted series Most Expensivist, which has aired for three seasons on Viceland.

Tek Maguire and Allen Parks of Street Execs Management continue to oversee him.

2 Chainz's signing is the latest in APA's series of talent acquisitions, which has accelerated after Ron Burkle's Yucaipa Companies made a significant investment in the agency last year.
